Seen & Heard: The shed at One Hudson is coming down

MORE LIGHT!
With the shed down at PS 234 and with the work wrapping up at One Hudson, things are looking a bit brighter. (Thanks to C. for the heads up.) Relatively, this was a quick turn around, and I praise them. The shed went up in February 2023, so just under two years. Plus now we can see how handsome the building is — and how it matches with 90 West Broadway.

REGISTRATION OPEN FOR DOWNTOWN LITTLE LEAGUE
Registration for the 2025 Downtown Little League season is live. Starting this year, they are required by Little League to migrate to a new centralized registration system. Everyone will need to create a new account during registration. FLAWELESS HOLIDAY POP-UP
Flaweless, Christine Cole’s events and catering business on White between West Broadway and Sixth, is hosting a holiday pop-up store on the cellar level. (The front room is now a welcome lounge for events.) Hours are Thursday to Saturday, 1p – 7p officially, but they take walk-ins anytime they are there and you can shop online.

COUNT BIRDS ON GOVERNORS ISLAND
Governors Island will host its 125th annual Christmas Bird Count on December 15, when people across the continent venture out into their communities to count as many birds as they can find. Register with the NYC Bird Alliance here.
