FUZE HOUSE TO OPEN IN MARCH
Fuze House, the Pilates and sculpt studio out of Miami taking the YogaSpark space on Duane, said they hope to have the schedule ready in mid-Feb for an early March opening. Stay tuned. YogaSpark is open till Jan. 29.

WHEN ONE DOOR OPENS…
It’s too much. Just after we were all celebrating the removal of the sidewalk shed around One Hudson, there’s one going up around The Smyth hotel, diagonally across the intersection. Damn you, Local Law 11!

THE ARCHES PARK SECURES FEDERAL GRANT
Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand and Congressman Dan Goldman announced a $2 million federal Reconnecting Communities grant to expand the public space that has been reopened under the Brooklyn Bridge, called Arches Plaza (aka the Brooklyn Banks). The senators spearheaded the program to remove transportation infrastructure that has left space inaccessible and limited communities’ connectivity. The plaza will feature seating, landscaping, recreational spaces, short-term concessions and temporary art installations, among other amenities. Additionally, the project will introduce two-way protected bike lanes and improved pedestrian safety.

GITANO OPENING AT PIER 17
Gitano, the outdoor bar and restaurant that was on Canal and Varick and that had a big setup on Governors Island, is opening a permanent location at Pier 17. It was on their Instagram, but also noted on Fidi Fanpage. They plan to open in winter 2025.
