NEW TRAINING STUDIO COMING TO WARREN
More soon, but in the meantime, Aesthetic Lab will open its second location at 28 Warren, just east of Church, within the next few weeks. It’s a one-on-one personal training studio (no gym membership, no classes) with a focus on strength training. They opened their first space on West Houston in 2021.
THE ROXY BRINGS BACK BRUNCH
The Roxy hotel will start serving its Grand Sunday Brunch Buffet on Sunday, January 26, 11a to 3p, with an omelette bar, a carving station and live jazz. The price is $45 per person. More here.
COCOON EXPANDS TO THE UWS
Cocoon opened a new location on the Upper West Side, at 408 Columbus. The space is 14,000 square feet and like their location on Greenwich, designed for kids ages 0-8 and their families. Sweet location: across the street from the American Museum of Natural History.
FILMS AT THE MUSEUM: THE ICE CREAM MAN
The Museum of Jewish Heritage will screen the new short film “The Ice Cream Man” on Thursday, Jan. 23, 7p. The film, starring Noah Emmerich, tells the true story of Ernst Cahn, a popular Jewish ice cream parlor owner, who, shortly after the Nazi invasion of the Netherlands, finds himself targeted by the infamous “Butcher of Lyon,” Klaus Barbie. As his world crumbles, Cahn must choose between resistance and death…a choice that will reverberate throughout the country. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the lead actors as well as the film’s writer, director and producers. Register here.
