DAILY PROVISIONS OPEN IN BROOKFIELD
Danny Meyer’s all-day kitchen concept Daily Provisions is open now in Hudson Eats – they took the former Olive’s space on the second floor corner. This is Union Square Hospitality Group’s eighth location — they serve signature coffee, crullers and breakfast sandwiches in the morning, made-to-order sandwiches and salads in the afternoon, and mains and seasonal sides in the evening.

YEAR OF THE SNAKE AT THE OCULUS
Tribecan Warren King installed an amazing giant snake made from aluminum composite panels in the Oculus in honor of the Lunar New Year and the eyar of the snake — and I am so sorry I miseed it. Warren worked with project sponsor Danielle Chang of Luckyrice and Richard Gluckman and Andrew Weigand, architects from Gluckman Tang, to pull it off.
STAYING UNDERGROUND (almost) RIVER TO RIVER
My pal N. is a pro at getting from Tribeca to lower BPC completely underground, but the Downtown Alliance went a step further (though it requires a swipe) and connects tunnels from the subway entrance at Fulton & William >> head down two level to the ACE platform >> walk to the last staircase >> come up in the Fulton Center and follow signs to PATH >> head towards WTC >> emerge into the Oculus >> walk through to tunnel to the left of the PATH >> head up escalators to Brookfield Place.

Speaking of Olive’s — EAGERLY awaiting their opening in their new spot! Any intel on when they will be open for business? Thanks!
Hoping for late March.
Love Daily; I used to work on 5th Avenue when the original opened up as part of the Union Sq Cafe move. It was dangerous.
My favorites are the chicken milanese and the patty melt. The pastries are great, too, but at this age I have a salt tooth more than a sweet one.
