The neighborhood from 900 feet

The artist Brandon Sines — Frank Ape — invited me for a studio tour on the 71st floor of 3 World Trade Center (more on that later today) and the views are just always so captivating. I know I have run things like this before — but I never tire of it.

Silverstein Properties has made that entire raw floor (and others — they have a formal program at 4 WTC called Silver Art Projects) available to artists — they each have a section. It’s pretty amazing. (You have seen Tribecan Todd Stone’s work from there before, which is also included in his recent book called “Witness | Downtown Rising.“) I was fixated on the northern view, but there’s a nice one of 4 WTC as well.
