A NEW PARTY VENUE IN FIDI
The folks who operate 48 Wall have just converted the base of 35 Pine (aka 40 Wall) into a party/corporate event venue called the FiDi Banking Hall. Formerly the Bank of Manhattan, the spaces have 30-foot ceilings, ornate marble columns, intricate stone arches, and polished Travertine floors. See more info here.
SIGNS OF SPRING?
S. sent this shot of a robin alighting on her Warren Street terrace and helping himself to her decorative berries. Living must be good in Tribeca — that’s one healthy looking bird!
MARC FORGIONE WILL CLOSE ONE FIFTH
Marc Forgione, who just moved his eponymous restaurant around the corner to Hudson and Duane, announced that he and his team will close One Fifth, the Village stalwart that he revived in 2022. The last service will be on Feb. 22. He still also has Peasant.
NEW DESIGNS BY LEE MINDEL
Tribecan and architect Lee F. Mindel, who has Galerie56, has a show featuring six new works from his Veritas collection for Ralph Pucci at the gallery, in 56 Leonard. On view through March 7, the exhibit includes the Pont Royale Sofa, Santorini Coffee Table, and Rialto Bench.
