A LOT OF MARTINI GLASSES
I needed to look up the status of a liquor license on the state’s website and was impressed by the density of martini glasses on this view of the map. I guess New Yorkers can never be too far from a drink.

LATIN AMERICAN FILM SERIES IN BPC
The next showing in the Latin American Film Series in Battery Park City will be Thursday, March 13, 6:30p at 6 River Terrace with “Nueve Reinas” (Fabián Bielinsky, Argentina / 2000 / 114 Min), a film where two small-time swindlers team up after meeting in a convenience store. Deception and duplicity mount, making it difficult to figure out who is conning whom, and who isn’t a thief. The New York Times said “‘Nine Queens’ is the kind of movie that seduces you into becoming putty in its manipulative card-sharking hands and making you enjoy being taken in.” Free popcorn will be served, and a discussion will follow the screening.
