IPPODO GALLERY OPEN HOUSE ON THURSDAY
The most recent addition to the Tribeca Gallery District, Ippodo Gallery, opens on Thursday with a reception from 5 to 8p at 35 N. Moore. The Japanese gallery, which has another location in Tokyo, will open with “Light and Abundance,” an exhibit highlighting the rich use of gold in traditional mediums. The collection features contemporary masterworks by distinguished artists in lacquer, metal, Nihonga painting and ceramics. More soon when I get over there.

The BID said that NYC has experienced the fourth-highest increase in the rat population among 16 major cities — hard to believe we are not #1 in this category… And what’s driving it? Climate change.
