Sneak Peek: Printemps

Lucky for us N. happened by Printemps on Broadway and Wall and the doors were ajar for its soft launch — I didn’t think it was opening until March 21. One shot is better than the next — or I should say, one room is more elaborate than the next. The cafe is open — Café Jalu — but, she reported, the main restaurant, Maison Passerelle, from two-time Top Chef finalist and three-time James Beard award winner Gregory Gourdet, will open mid-April.

This is the first US branch of the famed French department store, which was founded in 1865. Located inside One Wall, above and alongside Whole Foods, the store covers 55,000 square feet on two floors designed to look like a Parisian apartment by the French architect Laura Gonzalez, who recently opened a showroom on Franklin. 1. Exciting addition to the neighborhood! Hope they will consider partnering with their neighbor, number one caviar boutique at 14 Wall Street. Maybe there will be interesting collab event opportunities. Please contact us via email, for further info

  2. You need an editor! Your punctuation is atrocious.

    • Thanks for taking the time to share this. And thank you for doing all that you do for this community.

And I think your punctuation is MARVELOUS ! ! ! (so much unnecessary hate out there these days)

*I have no personal connection to this publication, just an everyday reader.

    • Jk Singer (talk about atrocious punctuation! Jk? Reading too much ee cummings? bell hooks?) must be a very lonely person indeed.

  3. They’re open “for the neighbors” before the official date. Everybody is so nice. The women’s dressing room is adorable. There’s a cafe and two or three bars, all very small. The red room—a shoe salon—but at least you can see it again.
