A new barber is coming to 5 Harrison, at the corner of Staple: Staple Street Barber, scheduled to open by the end of the month (they are shooting for March 25).

The duo behind the shop is master barber Deni Mrkulić, from Tribeca Barber Spa, and his longtime client Greg Baglione, who lives in the neighborhood.

It would be great to have a consistent tenant in that space. For a bit it was a the showroom for a fashion company called Paris Laundry; a short-lived gallery in 2022. From 2016 to 2021 it was the Ethan Rose salon, owned by Crystal Torres, who lived in Battery Park City and opened the salon after working as a hairstylist at two Tribeca salons, Younghee and Lotus.

The space next door was recently taken by Battery Park City resident and dentist Dr. Atoussa Halary.
