250 WATER SITE IS FOR SALE
Following the corporate shenanigans at the Seaport is way above my pay grade — I can barely follow the Crain’s story. But it seems like Seaport Entertainment, the company spun off from Howard Hughes Corp. to hold 250 Water, Pier 17 and the Tin Building, is trying to sell all or part of 250 Water, the site that they pushed through the courts to override the historic district zoning code. From Crain’s: “There’s no stated asking price for the property, which a predecessor to Seaport Entertainment Group acquired for about $180 million in 2018. The land has a gross carrying value of $143 million, according to Seaport’s annual report.” The story went on: “Quarterly net losses [for Seaport Entertainment] widened to $41 million from $36 million a year ago, while revenue for the period ending Dec. 31 was little-changed at $22.8 million. The company’s share price has lost a third of its value since the spinoff and was down 5% Tuesday morning, to $21 a share.”
TAYLOR AND TRAVIS AT THE BROOKFIELD MALL
People magazine reports that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spent an “intimate night out” at the Del Frisco’s Grille at Brookfield Place on March 14. From People: “For the outing, which lasted over three hours, Swift wore an oversized gray blazer that she paired with burgundy heels.” Plus the AthlonSports reporters are convinced that Travis Kelce and his brother recorded their podcast at Swift’s apartment on Franklin.
