SPONSOR A TULIP IN WASHINGTON MARKET PARK
The Friends of Washington Market Park has launched a Tribeca in Bloom Tulip Campaign to raise funds for park beautification and its free events. The funds will go to key projects like relaying gazebo bricks, replacing fencing and keeping favorites like Ladybug Day, Halloween, Santa and It’s My Park Day going strong. Donors can sponsor one tulip for $10, 10 tulips for $80, 100 tulips for $500 or a whole garden for $2500. Donate here.
DINNER ON DUANE SET FOR SEPTEMBER 14
Duane Park’s now annual Dinner on Duane is set for Sunday, September 14. Tickets will go on sale on June 1 — and they go fast. But you can secure seating for six before the rush — Crowd packages will go on sale on Tuesday, April 1, at 9a. Visit the link in our bio. Only a limited number of Crowds are available. FORGIONE WILL SERVE ON SUNDAYS
Forgione (I thought it was Forge?) will be open on Sundays beginning April 13 (and including Easter Sunday, April 20). That makes them a seven-day operation. The menu is not yet posted…
MAYORAL CANDIDATE FORUM ON PARKS
New York Law School’s Center for New York City and State Law will host a mayoral candidate forum on parks, recreation and open space on Tuesday, April 8, 5:30-7:30p, at the law school at 185 West Broadway and Leonard. Confirmed candidates: Adrienne Adams, Michael Blake, Brad Lander, Zohran Mamdani, Zellnor Myrie, Jessica Ramos, Scott Stringer. Also invited: Eric Adams, Andrew Cuomo, Whitney Tilson. RSVP here.
