I actually fell for this for a minute so thought it was worth passing on. The Broadsheet got an A for effort on its April 1 post, noting that a sink hole opened under the Verizon building. “Experts say an unauthorized fracking operation under nearby Murry Bergtraum High School – conducted as a science project by students seeking extra credit, as well as a side hustle – caused the depression.”

The Department of Transportation had a good one on IG too: “We’re launching an emergency hotline for walkers stranded in unwalkable cities, trudging to brunch on the shoulder of a highway because Google maps told them it was technically possible.”

TRUMP’S 40 WALL IS DOWNGRADED
Just to be clear, this is NOT April Fools: Crain’s reports that the Trump-owned tower at 40 Wall has a vacancy rate of 25 percent and is no longer producing enough cash to cover the mortgage. From Crain’s: “A lot of Financial District real estate owners face similar issues. 40 Wall St. is different because it’s one of three New York properties owned by President Donald Trump. The others are Trump Tower and 1290 Sixth Ave., a 2 million square-foot Midtown office building 70%-owned by Vornado Realty Trust.”

Vogue’s Parties department covered an exhibit at Nili Lotan’s men’s store celebrating fashion, art and rock and roll. Singer-songwriter and artist Alison Mosshart transformed the space into an exhibit of her paintings titled “No Slow Songs.” I think they may still be up…
