Words on Warren — the children’s bookstore setting up shop on the Warren side of Philip Williams Posters — is aiming for an opening date in the first week of September.
But in the meantime they are crowdsourcing ideas for just how the bookstore should look and feel. (Thanks to N. for the eyeball.) The first question: What would be in your dream children’s bookshop? with some suggestions: cozy nooks? silly story time? exhausted parents meetup? magic in the air?
Owner Jean Su Maeng said the window sign will change weekly with different questions.
“I’m gathering feedback from the community to help weave their ideas into the bookstore,” she said. “I’ve already received some wonderful suggestions, and many neighbors have reached out to offer help with programming and setup. It’s been such a great experience connecting with everyone!”
The space is 1500 square feet, so keep that in mind!
