NEW DELI FOR LEONARD AND BROADWAY
J. sent this over: a new deli for Leonard and Broadway. I can’t keep up with the deli openings and closings — and don’t even really understand what is going on. J. counted five in a one-block radius. The one on the south side of Chambers at West Broadway moved to the north side overnight.

GOTHAM FIX IS BACK
A few people had asked me if I knew what was going on with Sammy Acevedo, who has the bike repair van parked outside PS 234. He’s back now, after a break for winter and a visit to the DR.

FLYING AROUND WASHINGTON MARKET PARK…
I asked this birder what she was seeing in Washington Market Park the other day — the only one I could identify was a cardinal. It’s migratory season so there was a lot of action, including a brown thrasher, a myrtle warbler, and, she said, “the usual suspects.”
