The World Trade Center will broadcast the three Mets-Yankees games this weekend outside on the Oculus Plaza. You can RSVP here for seats or you can just show up and stand or sit along the low wall of the Oculus, in my experience. I highly recommend.
Game 1: Friday, May 16, gates open at 5 p.m., first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
Game 2: Saturday, May 17, gates open at 11 a.m., first pitch at 1:05 p.m.
Game 3: Sunday, May 18, gates open at 5 p.m., first pitch at 7:10 p.m.
VIP NAILS HAS MOVED TO BROADWAY & THOMAS
R. sent a note to say that VIP Nails, which was on Reade for more than 25 years, recently moved to Broadway and Thomas. “It’s a wonderful place and they’ve been through a lot in the neighborhood including 9/11,” she said.
CONCERT READING AT 9/11 MUSEUM
The 9/11 Museum will host a live performance of “The Legacy of Welles Remy Crowther: The Man in the Red Bandana” on Thursday, May 15, from 6 to 7p. This is a documentary play by Lisa Rafferty created verbatim from interviews with Welles’ friends, family and others impacted by his courage and compassion. For this special event, the play will be presented as a concert-reading performance, featuring a cast of 15, including Tony-nominated actor Tovah Feldshuh, firefighter-actors, and actors from Broadway and Boston College. HEART ASSOCIATION RUN IS THURSDAY
