TRE SORELLE IS TAKING ORDERS
Tre Sorelle, the family-owned restaurant that has been on Reade for 13 years and makes the list of moderately priced restaurants, a dying breed, is making progress after it was forced to close from a fire last October. (Thanks to J. for the pic.) Their website says they are taking orders for pickup and delivery, and will open soon(ish). (They said a couple months, but that was 17 weeks ago.) The fire caused significant structural damage, which will require the cost of repairs and, of course, lost revenue at the same time.

STOPPING HELICOPTER NOISE & FLIGHTS
Stop The Chop NY/NJ is circulating petitions addressed to the federal government, the state of New Jersey and the mayor to reduce helicopter noise and ban nonessential flights over the NYC Metropolitan Area. The NYC petition supports the passage of New York City Council Int. 0026, which, if passed, would ban nonessential helicopter flights from heliports owned or operated by New York City, including the Downtown Manhattan (Wall Street) and East 34th Street heliports. Why do you need to ban all nonessential helicopters? I find Blade to be an incredible and gamechanging time saver getting to JFK. It’s so much more fun and fast than trying to schlep bags up and down subway stairs or to Penn to then go to Jamaica, to switch to the air train, etc. Stop ruining everything.
