COOLING CENTERS AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The bourough president sent around an email with a map of the cooling centers in the city — oddly it said to call ahead before visiting! But there are two for older adults only at IPN, 310 Greenwich and 100 Gold; the Battery Park City Library on Murray; and the New Amsterdam Library on Murray.
TC SOFTBALLERS ARE CHAMPS
The Tribeca Citizen Gators won the Minors Division Downtown Little League Championship with a walk-off double. The youngest team in the league, the Gator girls were down 11-5 and then 16-14 in the bottom of the last inning when Haley (who was also the winning pitcher, pitching all six innings) knocked this one into the outfield.
SAILOR’S CHOICE AT HUDSON YARDS

THE FOURTH AT THE SEAPORT
Not sure I mentioned this? I usually don’t for paid events, but if you are looking for a viewing spot for the 49th edition of Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks, which will launch from the Brooklyn Bridge and four barges, the South Street Seaport Museum has two options starting at 6:30p at Pier 16. Early bird tickets are now available for $75–$95.
