ROSIE’S KIDS CUTS CLOSING FOR RENOVATIONS
Rosie Negron, who operates Rosie’s Kids Cuts out of Two Kids and a Dog, the toy store on West Broadway and Warren, will be closed from July 4 to 24 while the landlord renovates the space. (The two businesses were looking to move elsewhere in the neighborhood but now they are staying put.) You can still reach her if you need a cut: 646-373-7408.
STUDYING POLITICAL DIVISION IN TRIBECA
Taylor Lynch, a student at Columbia University, is using Tribeca as her study subject for a project titled “Bridging the Gap: Help Counter Political Division In Your Neighborhood” and is seeking participants. Here’s her pitch: “Are you sick and tired of political divisions dividing your community into US vs. THEM? Is your neighborhood declining due to polarization? Have you lost friends, colleagues or personal relationships due to politics? If you answered yes to any of these questions then please consider participating in a 15-minute interview with Columbia University researchers. By speaking with our team, your experience will contribute to a qualitative exploratory study on political polarization, neighborhood connectivity, and social connectedness which aims to inform potential solutions to strengthen communities damaged by polarization. It all starts with your neighborhood and your story. Want to know more? Ask questions or get involved today by reaching out to trl2136@columbia.edu.” Or sign up here.
