The brick and cast iron buildings from 1870, originally on College Place, for the original Columbia University, could have been preserved along with two prominent Tribeca classics.

ANOTHER PERSON JUMPS TO HER DEATH
Last week, a man jumped off pier 40 but after an extensive search, first responders could not find him; his body was found just yesterday.

POPUP BAGELS TARGETING NOVEMBER OPENING
The wildly popular bagel shop has taken the narrow space at Reade and Greenwich for its fifth store in the city. Its opening, scheduled for this month, has been pushed back.

A new Greek bakery and cafe takes a space on Church and White. Plus Emilia George adds its third store; the CityStore goes online for the summer.
