NEW SOHO RESTAURANT ON SPRING
A. — who often sends tips about new hotspots — reports that the new restaurant Kiko, on Spring and Varick, is some of the best food she’s had all year. The owner is Lina Goujjane, whose family owned One If By Land, Two If By Sea, and this menu puts an Asian spin on American classics. “Inventive but not weird,” said A. “Delicious and thoughtful but not pretentious. Service was so warm. The bar is stunning. The interior is gorgeous. Personal touch: if you live in the hood, after your meal, they give you a personal business card with the hostess’ cell to make a reservation. They also have this cute little front area where I high rec you go grab a cocktail.”
