Seen & Heard: Cricket goes healthy

CRICKET’S CANDY CREATIONS GOES HEALTHY
Tribecan Cricket Azima, whose business on Chambers, Cricket’s Candy Creations, shows kids (and adults!) how to make their own candy, is now balancing out their sugar-centered programming with healthful kids cooking classes weekly, after-school on Thursdays. (This was Cricket’s longtime business; the candy business was invented in covid, when more fun was needed.) See more info here. Email for more information. info@thecreativekitchen.com

FREE EVENT AT THE COMPLETE PLAYGROUND
The Complete Playground in Fidi will hist a free community event on August 31 — a Back to School Carnival from 11a to 1p at 30 Broad. There will be a bouncy house, water balloon toss, glitter tattoos, games and more on the side street. (Admission to the playground is not included.)

50 DATES INCLUDES TRIBECA
Don’t ask me how the algorithm got this into my feed, but there’s a kid (ok, he’s 28) who has an Instagram account called 50 Dates / 50 States and his New York date took him to… Tribeca! Go figure. They went to Pier 25, Grand Banks and Django, the jazz club at The Roxy.
