Seen & Heard: Rosa Wine Lounge opens Tuesday

ROSA WINE LOUNGE OPENS TUESDAY
Rosa Wine Lounge, a bar and restaurant offering artisanal wine, craft cocktails, and Latin-inspired tapas, will open Tuesday. The founders are Lorena Rivera and Rob Batchelder, the team behind ChefScape, and the executive chef is Angel Sanchez. More when I can pop in.

ROCK THE BLOCK ON SEPT. 7
Chabad of Tribeca will host its annual Community Street Fair — Rock the Block — on Sunday, Sept. 7, from 11a to 1p on Duane between Greenwich and Duane streets. There will be moon bounces, slides, pony rides, glitter tattoos, a bubble station, soccer, basketball, chess, and more. Registration is required.

EARLY EDUCATION FAIR ON SEPT. 14
HRP Mamas will host its Annual Preschool and Early Education Fair on Sunday, Sept. 14, in two shifts from 11a to 1p and 1 to 3p at New York Law School, 185 West Broadway. Participants will meet preschool, preschool alternative, daycare and enrichment program directors and staff and be able to ask questions in person. Register here. 

THE MOTH COMMUNITY STORYSLAM
The Moth: Community Storyslam will host an open-mic night at Wagner Park on Sept. 4, 7:30p. The event is a noncompetitive, open-mic storytelling event in which anyone can put their name in a hat to share a five-minute personal story on the night’s theme live without notes.

  2. It does look pretty. Checked out the menu, as website mentions its focus on Latin American food and drink. 3/16 on bottle list and 5/20 on wine by the glass list are from South America. Hope they can expand that as they settle in, as it would be a nice way to discover wines from this continent.
