TEENY MEALS FOR DINERS ON OZEMPIC
Longtime Tribecan Telly Hatzigeorgiou — the owner of Clinton Hall — is quoted in a Times story about restaurants that have started creating mini meals for people who have no appetite thanks to Ozempic and other drugs. From The Times: “In April, Clinton Hall introduced its ‘teeny-weeny mini meal.’ For $8, diners get a bite-size burger and fries paired with a miniature beer, margarita or wine. With a two-ounce patty, 1.5 ounces of fries and a five-ounce drink, it’s a kid’s meal for the 21-and-older set. Aristotle Hatzigeorgiou, the owner, introduced the special after seeing how many people in his own life were taking GLP-1s, a class of drug used for weight loss because they suppress appetites. ‘I am always with someone who is taking Ozempic, Mounjaro, one of those things, he said. ‘They have one or two bites of food and a couple of sips of drinks, and they’re done.'”
INSIDE MUSAAFER ON DUANE
Eater also has a look at the new restaurant on Duane, Musaafer — saying it brings a touch of the Taj Mahal to New York City. More on that soon when I can get over there.
MY UNORTHODOX APARTMENT
Forbes has a tour of the six-bedroom, six-bathroom apartment at 70 Vestry belonging to Julia Haart, the entrepreneur and fashion designer known for her Netflix show, My UnOrthodox Life. She has a giant lazy susan for her shoes and a dry-cleaner-like apparatus that rotates through her closet for her clothes.
KID CUDI’S DARKEST HOUR WAS HERE
The rapper, singer, songwriter Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi has a first person story in GQ, where he recounts his darkest hour, where he took so much cocaine he couldn’t walk. “I lived by the West Side Highway in Tribeca. You always hear some sort of traffic out there. But I couldn’t hear anything. I looked out my window and didn’t see any cars. That seems strange. I wasn’t aware of the time of day. It was like some weird version of the afterlife that mirrored real life, like that moment in the movie Vanilla Sky where Tom Cruise wakes up. I was disappointed when I realized I was back to the reality I knew. The one I was trying to escape. I hadn’t fulfilled my death wish.

Musaafer has installed a railing (that looks like it was taken from Mar a Lago) outside on the deck. Not sure how they can just change the outside of a landmark building with such a tacky, unnecessary change.
