FREE EVENTS BEFORE DINNER ON DUANE
The Friends of Duane Park will host its now-annual Dinner on Duane event next Sunday, September 14, starting at 4p — a ticketed event — but leading up to that will be some free public events from noon to 3. There will be a performance by guitarist Wilson Montuori, plus cookies & lemonade courtesy of Duane Park Patisserie, stencils and chalk for kids, and a table where the Friends will answer questions about the Duane Park Restoration Project to bring the park back to its original (1797) size.
SCHOOL EXPO AT COCOON
Cocoon will host its annual free School Expo on Sunday, September 7, from 10a to noon at 316 Greenwich. Families can meet school administrators and teachers face-to-face and enjoy hands-on activities for kids while grown-ups browse. Register here.
TWO NEW FOOD TRUCKS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD?
There was a pasta truck in front of Whole Foods serving fettucine alfredo for $9, to which you can add toppings like chicken for $3.50. ANd there’s another just north of Harrison on Greenwich that is Indian Chinese! A bowl of chicken biryani is $12 and honey chicken with rice is $11.
