Peach Bling, a nail salon that offers Japanese and Korean gel manicures and has another location in Long Island City, has opened on Reade in the former Jacadi children’s clothing store, which closed in May. They have completely transformed the space into a luxe — and yes, peach-colored — spa.
The company also offers lash extensions, structured manicures and spa pedicures, but their focus is non-toxic gels — they don’t apply powders or regular polish. They work with with Kokoist, HONA and Gel Monsta, among other brands, and have collections of HEMA-free products (HEMA is a common ingredient that helps products adhere to nails but is also known to cause allergic reactions and skin irritation in sensitive individuals) and TPO-free products (TPO is a photoinitiator that enables gel polish to harden under a UV/LED light but has been linked to skin irritation, allergic reactions and potential reproductive harm, leading to its recent ban in the European Union for cosmetic use).
The signature structured manicure is $98 (it takes an hour and 5 minutes); a 30-minute manicure without polish is $68.
This rounds out the Reade Street conversion to spa row, with Sugared + Bronzed and Plump right next door.

Was really excited for this opening in the neighborhood but unfortunately it was the worst manicure I’ve received. It also seems like a previous negative comment about the salon was deleted from the TC post about this place, which is unfortunate, because residents of the neighborhood should be able to know what kind of place it is. If you’re not an influencer, don’t expect to get good service.
