Seen & Heard: The Tribeca Citizen Atlas

THE DOWNTOWN SOCCER LEAGUE’S ATLAS
Love getting the first shots of the girls 2017 division for Downtown Soccer League — this year the TC team is the Atlas. Good luck, girls!

FALL MUSIC IN BOGARDUS
Bogardus Plaza will host a fall music series on Thursdays from 1 to 2p starting October 2 through the 30th. Bands include West Fourth Trio, Jordan Young Trio and Church Street School Jazz.

NEW MASSAGE PLACE ON MURRAY
Thank to B. for this note: Angelic Touch has opened at 14 Murray, between Broadway and Church. They don’t seem to have a digital footprint; I will swing by during the day next week.

CHALLENGERS SIGNUP AT DOWNTOWN SOCCER
The Downtown Soccer League will start its free program for players with physical and developmental challenges this Saturday. You can register your child here. The DSL Challengers program is designed specifically to support players aged 5-17 with physical and developmental challenges, and allow them to experience the joy of soccer in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment. The program runs from September 20 to November 13, with sessions held on Saturday mornings at Pier 26. Each player is paired with a high school volunteer to provide guidance and encouragement. Each practice includes a warm-up session followed by a modified drill after which we break up into a fun volunteer/player scrimmage.
