Catching up on the Dinner (over) Duane

@sharon_schusterphoto

I’m a bit late here, but didn’t want to let these gorgeous pictures from Tribecan Sharon Schuster die in my inbox. (I took some too — I credited Sharon’s.)

The Friends of Duane Park held their fourth annual Dinner on Duane on September 14 — though the prediction of rain sent them upstairs to a raw floor at 60 Hudson, a spectacular space provided by the building that overlooks the park. Still super fun and the light (it *did* eventually rain) was incredible. Though the first dinner, to honor the park’s 225th birthday, was simply a celebration, the dinners now are fundraisers for Duane Park, which is fully supported by the Friends.

The Warren Street Bar & Restaurant provided the Sunday roast, and Christine and Patrick Hall of Élan Flowers on Worth did the flowers and Duane Park Patisserie provided the cookies as always.

The lead sponsor was Tribecan Amy Bonomi of Compass, who has been involved since the beginning. And additional sponsors included American Express, Adrian Chalk and Tribeca Wine Merchants, Laughing Man Coffee, and Mary Giuliani Catering and Events; S. Donadic Inc., Aztech Mountain, Michelle Griffith of Douglas Elliman, Altocanna, Damon Liss Design, Bija Beat, Greenwich Street Jewelers, Real Pilates, Ritual Dental, The Greenwich Hotel, Tribeca Citizen, Washington Market School, ARC Athletics and the co-op/condo boards at 165 and 166 Duane and 55 Hudson streets.

  1. Congrats to all who attended and support Friends of Duane Park. Oliver Allan , an original founder, was a dear friend and would be delighted. It’s been a joy to help fund this local gem.
