GOVERNORS ISLAND ARTS OPEN HOUSE
Governors Island Arts will host its final Third Saturday open house on Saturday, October 18, 1a to 6:30p, with special indoor and outdoor activities and performances to showcase the work of the resident artists. There will be inflatable sculptures by Mookntaka with projection mapping by Jarid Blue; a new iteration of Junkanooacome by Jodie Lyn-Kee-Chow; and a visual and sonic performance multidisciplinary duo Sestra Kuya, among other events.

CANSTRUCTION AT BROOKFIELD
Canstruction New York — the sculpture event where everything is made from unopened cans — returns to Brookfield Place on Thursday, October 30, and up till November 10. The large-scale creations will take the shape of everything from Labubu to the Washington Square Arch. There are also guided tours, a digital cookbook, and activities for all ages. After being on display at Brookfield Place, the sculptures are deconstructed and donated to City Harvest.
