A new wine bar has opened on Chambers: Freddy’s Tribeca is a collaboration between Fred Walley, a longtime friend of Tribeca stalwart Chambers Street Wines, and the wine shop’s Eben Lillie. It’s small, 20 seats overall with about 15 at the bar (there’s a corner!) and a catbird seat in the window that fits four or maybe five if you cozy up.

There are wine offerings by the glass ($18 to $21) and bottle and a limited food menu (cheese plate, smoked fish plate, chocolates, etc). They plan to develop a program of special events with rare bottles and back-vintages. For those details, sign up for the emails here.
