New Kid on the Block: Drip Coffee at Shinola

The Shinola store on Franklin has a new coffee shop that looks like it’s been there all along: Drip Coffee Makers is operating out of what used to be the watch repair station in the front of the store. And like all things Shinola, it’s got that worn-in clubhouse-slash-industrial vibe.

There’s just the L-shaped benches in the window and a coffee table, but you can stroll the shop with your brew. We were more than happy to sit in that window. Ask for real cups if you are staying since the default is paper.

The company has a location on Varick and Watts, in the lobby of One Hudson Square, and Henry Street in Brooklyn Heights; Bed Stuy is coming soon. An espresso is $4; a latte is $6. M. sent a review, which helps since I don’t drink coffee: “Great pour-overs from a bunch of high quality roasters. Espresso drink looked good too.”

Make sure you ask to use the bathroom.
