Seen & Heard: Theft at Blue Mercury

THEFT AT BLUE MERCURY
It’s something all our storefronts have to deal with: two men stole products from Blue Mercury last Friday — since they were not armed it is classified as larceny and not robbery. The NYPD described them as having medium and light complexion. They fled the scene.

ODEON IS TOP 100 FROM OPEN TABLE
Each year, OpenTable looks at insights from diner reviews and demand to determine the top 100 restaurants across the country, and this year The Odeon made the list. It is listed as a “neighborhood gem.”

THE CITY’S MOST SCENIC MENORAH?
The Seaport has a nautical menorah on the north side of Pier 17, with the Brooklyn Bridge as a backdrop. The first light was lit on Sunday; the last will be sunset on Monday, December 22.

NYC DOT STARTS HERE
City Department of Transportation has a cool self-promotion on its Instagram, and it all starts with Downtown. Pretty cool to watch, even if the department can drive you nuts sometimes.
