Playgarden Prep, a premier New York City-based preschool and early childhood education center, is proud to announce the launch of a unique French language immersion program at their Tribeca location (95 Franklin Street, New York, NY 10013) for all students ages 18 months to 5 years. After two successful years of offering dual language immersion programming in Spanish and Mandarin, Playgarden will begin its French immersion preschool program in September 2026. Interested families can apply online.

All children, regardless of their French proficiency, will participate in an entirely French-speaking setting. Students do not need to speak French or English to join the program; teachers will incorporate gestures and visuals to enhance understanding, as research shows that young children are capable of learning languages at a much faster rate than adults. “Acquiring languages at a young age is the most effective strategy to encourage bilingualism in adulthood,” said Playgarden CEO and Co-Founder Carlos Corona. “Because of the young age of our students, a full immersion program will be the most effective way to create a strong, long-lasting base in both English and French languages.”

Like Playgarden’s other preschool programs, the French immersion program will be offered for 3, 4, and 5 days a week, with flexible early drop-off, full day, and extended day enrollment options. The full French immersion experience will be offered during the 9:00AM to 12:00PM schedule, while families seeking a longer day can extend their child’s schedule until 5:30PM, with the afternoon portion conducted in English as part of our general program. Full day options, including Afterschool Club, include free play time in Playgarden’s 3,000 sqft playground for a well rounded day of learning and play. Playgarden Prep is also well known by continuing schools as a “feeder school,” and supports parents in the next steps in their child’s education. By offering informational sessions to learn about future schools, Playgarden can happily offer guidance with application processes and interviews, as well as recommendation letters.

Since its Tribeca founding in 2008, Playgarden has focused on creating educational and developmental programs for the youngest children.
