Hot 8 Yoga coming to Mayweather Boxing space on Reade

Hot 8 Yoga, a chain out of California that has a location in Brooklyn Heights and one coming to the Flatiron soon, has taken the Mayweather Boxing space on Reade between West Broadway and Church. (The 8 refers to the eight limbs of ashtanga yoga, which I would call principles.)

Mayweather Boxing closed last October after two and a half years; they opened in 2023. Exceed left that space in October 2020; they had taken over the eastern side of Bell Bates in 2013.

The studio offers a range of hot classes — Hot Yoga, Hot Power Fusion, Hot Power Yoga, Hot Yoga Sculpt (with weights) and Hot Yoga Barre — with temperatures ranging from 105 to 110 degrees. Monthly memberships look like they are $269.

The founder and CEO Vincent Nicoletta lived in Brooklyn Heights for many years before moving to Cali 15 years ago. “It’s like coming home for me,” he told Athletech News in 2024, when Brooklyn opened. “I can’t wait for all the Brooklyn peeps to light up our community with their magnetic energy.”
