BURRITO MARIACHI HAS CLOSED
I missed this note from A. who sent it back in August. Burrito Mariachi, which was at 189 Church just south of Duane for 20 (!) years closed this summer. It used to be Burrito House until 2014, when it changed its name. That stretch of Church has had a lot of change lately…

TEYANA TAYLOR ON THE 1/2/3
The MTA sent an announcement that 2026 Golden Globe winner Teyana Taylor (and Harlem native) has recorded a Valentine’s Day message that will be playing in subway stations throughout the city as well as on the 1/2/3. “Love probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the MTA, but anyone who uses our transit system knows that this is the place where people come together,” said MTA Chair and CEO Janno Lieber.

LOFT BOARD PROPOSED RULES HEARING
I could not tell from the announcement *what* the proposed rules are, but for those of you in Loft Law apartments I thought this was worth sharing: There will be a hearing on March 19, 2p, at 22 Reade. You can also provide written comments to the Secretary of the Board at the hearing, or you can email your comments to nycloftboard@buildings.nyc.gov. The meeting will also be on Microsoft Teams here.
