••• On Sunday, May 22, the Children’s Museum of the Arts will throw its first-ever Kids Fair (11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Charlton between Hudson and Greenwich): “The fair is free and open to the public; welcoming families from around the city to make art outdoors and enjoy a fun shopping experience filled with unique and family-oriented artisanal products from trendy, local vendors. The CMA Kids Fair aims to bring together the surrounding residential and business communities of New York City in a fun and creative public event designed specifically for children and their families. The fair will feature collaborative art projects, bounce houses, bubbles, face painting, chalk drawings and more fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.”
••• In his Spotlight Q&A, Joe Carini mentioned that he was working on a collaboration with designer Alessandro Mendini and that they’d likely launch at the Milan Furniture Fair. He sent out an email confirming it, with this image. Wonderful stuff!
••• I finally made it over to the Spring Street Salt Shed at night.
