Loft Tour Preview #2: Worth Contemporary

The Friends of Duane Park’s 11th-annual Inside Tribeca Loft Tour is Oct. 17. For a mere $50, you have four hours to get a close, self-guided look at around 10 lofts. Only 400 tickets are sold, so buy yours now! Proceeds help to maintain Duane Park.

I got a preview of three of the lofts on this year’s tour—there are never repeats from year to year—and it was really cool. This is the second of three (the first is here), a loft on Worth that the inhabitants—a family with young kids—only moved into last March. They used a+i architecture.

The dining and living areas (the entire apartment has enviable ceilings).

A loft above the playspace has ever-changing mood lighting, a whiteboard wall, and a trapdoor leading to the nook below.

The stairway leading to the roof deck has its own skylight (with views of 60 Hudson).
