••• The not-quite-finished ground floor of 173 W. Broadway has finally been revealed. The tall windows are a nice touch.
••• I hear that the Saks Fifth Avenue store at Brookfield Place is now shooting for a September opening. (The men’s store will follow next year.)
••• A flyer in the window of the new Pure Barre studio on Reade says it’s opening at the end of the month. There’s also a pre-opening special, although I’m not sure how you claim it. If you email them, mention that you saw it here.
••• “It looks like the website of the Four Seasons has been updated recently,” reports M. “In addition to a few photos of a sample room, they also moved the opening date from “mid 2016” to “late 2016” (although non consistently – at some places it still says mid 2016).”
••• 56 Leonard sent out a press release saying that closings have begun. Does that mean the hoist must be coming down soon? Can people move in with it still there? Because only then will we really get a sense whether the top ten floors make up for the rest. The release also says that two penthouses remain on the market, and the Anish Kapoor sculpture will be installed this fall.
