••• “A crumbling city court building [346 Broadway] in Tribeca poses a danger to the public and requires emergency repairs, a city contractor said Tuesday. The landmarked building features two clock towers and other decorative elements on the roof, including four large stone eagles. The eagles and the eastern clock tower, along with portions of the parapet, have decayed and are in danger of falling into the street.” (DNAinfo)

••• “The money troubles of down-on-his-luck hip hop mogul Damon Dash sent his duplex condo at Tribeca’s prized Atalanta to the auction block in late July. There, Edward Farrell of Platinum Capital snapped it up for $5.5 million, not bad for a power building pad that Dash himself tried to resell for $7.9 million after paying just $3.875 million back in 2004. A few short months later, the 5,142-square-foot apartment is back on the market—for a whopping $7.995 million.” (Curbed)

••• “Pier 26’s planned estuarium education center may get a helping hand from the City University of New York through an interim environmental program proposed at a meeting of the Waterfront Committee of Community Board 1 on Monday evening. The program would be a collaboration of CUNY, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Hudson River Park Trust. Pier 26, located between North Moore and Hubert Streets, is the planned home of a community boathouse, waterside café, and estuarium-though the estuarium has not yet been fully funded.” (Broadsheet Daily)
