••• Back in 2014, I wrote about El Internacional, the restaurant that predated El Teddy’s. At the time, the restaurant’s co-founder, artist Antoni Miralda, was working on a book. Now the book is out, and the Tribeca Trib has an article on it, along with many photos. (The above photo is by JoAnne.)
••• A lovely article in the New York Times about Tribeca couple Isabel Rose and Jeffrey Fagen, and how they’re helping their child with a gender transition.
••• More thefts in the Tribeca Trib police blotter.
••• “Followers of chef Masa Takayama now have a chance to sample new dishes from his long-delayed Tribeca restaurant Tetsu [….] The chef has debuted some of the dishes at Bar Masa in Columbus Circle.” (Is Columbus Circle considered a neighborhood?) “The Time Warner Center restaurant has a Go-Go Happy Hour menu every day offering cocktails and dishes at a lower cost. [The eight Tetsu dishes include] banana bone marrow, a rice bowl with pork, a duck foie gras slider, and a lamb slider.” The Go-Go Happy Hour is 3-5 p.m. daily. —Eater
