••• Last call for Thai delivery recommendations. Email tribecacitizen@gmail.com or comment away.
••• The Transit sneaker shop at 406 Broadway has closed. There would seem to be a high probability it’ll reopen elsewhere.
••• Two more items of note added to Community Board 1’s agendas:
Waterfront, Parks & Resiliency Committee (Feb. 20)
—Pier 17 Security and Sound – Presentation by Saul Scherl & Phillip St. Pierre, Howard Hughes Corporation; Thomas Moran, NYPD 1st PrecinctQuality of Life Committee (Feb. 22)
—Walker Street ongoing issues – Discussion [Anyone know what those issues are?]
••• “Law & Order: SVU” is shooting again on Wednesday. Must be a big one, because the notices were in the usual Chambers/Broadway area, as well as over at Leonard/Varick and Broadway/White.
••• March 10 at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center: Dinosaur puppets! More specifically, “Mammoth Follies explores the wonders of evolution in an old-fashioned revue of original songs, witty jokes, and earth-smashing dances performed by giant dinosaur puppets. This program dramatizes historic and scientific facts (as well as some myths) about the great age of the dinosaur.” Tickets.
••• I saw cartons of produce being wheeled into the former Rosanjin space on Duane the other day. Anyone know what’s going on in there?

Re: Thai – I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned it already, but I’m a big fan of Lan Larb in Soho. Their ‘official’ delivery radius on Grubhub is quite small and doesn’t cover much of Tribeca but I’ve managed to get them to deliver down to Duane St a few times by calling direct.
They used to do these little curry puffs as a starter, which were incredible – if anyone could help nudge them to bring those back, I’d be grateful!
It was mentioned on the Chinese food post. Big fan of Lan Larb.
Lan Larb Thai is great!
On Caviar + Uber Eats
Lan Larb is without any doubt the best option in downtown.
I can list a few Walker Street ongoing issues:
– constant horn-honking and blasting car radios
– drug dealers
– trash
– M1-5
– gym boxing classes taking up the sidewalk and forcing pedestrians to walk in the street
I’m sure there are others!
