Seen & Heard: Gingerbread Firehouse

••• The theme for City Harvest’s second-annual gingerbread-house competition is movies set in New York, so Tribeca Treats—which won last year—entered a gingerbread version of the Ladder 8 (a.k.a Ghostbusters) firehouse. All the entries are on display through Jan. 9 at the Parker Meridien hotel in midtown (119 W. 56th St.); for a $1 donation, you can vote on which you like the best and be entered in a contest to win a stay at the Parker Palm Springs.

••• This morning, I learned something interesting at Apexart from founder Steven Rand, who’s also the artist responsible for lighting up 289 Church. If the lights on the top floor are out, it’s because he has a guest staying there.

••• Singer Nellie McKay will be at 92YTribeca’s “Meet the Lady” tribute to Ann Miller on Dec. 17.

••• Today and tomorrow, all treatments at Tribeca Spa of Tranquility are 50% off. Mention code “ABC.”

••• The agenda for the next CB1 Seaport/Civic Center Committee includes a liquor-license application for “29 Peck Slip, application for liquor license for Vincent Molini / J.P. Rest Corp. d/b/a Carmines Since 1903.” It looks like Carmine’s is coming back, this time on the north side of Peck Slip (or even around the corner on Front Street, if Google Maps has it right).
