••• M. reports that the Sherman Zwicker—as the Grand Banks boat is named—has returned to Pier 25, but the restaurant/bar hasn’t opened yet (and won’t in time for  the luscious weather today or tomorrow). Stay tuned for opening info….

••• The Department of Buildings has a new map showing the location of sidewalk sheds around the city: “As new sheds go up or their permits expire, the map is updated,” explained the rep. “This real-time map is great because if a member of the public sees a sidewalk shed on their block, and doesn’t see a blue dot on the map, it means the permit is expired and the shed is no longer legal.” That’s nice, for sure, but what we really need is reform to reduce the number of sheds in the first place. ••• Does anyone know if someone is moving into the storefront at 51 Murray? The light has been on recently.

••• J. noticed that a sample sale appears to be setting up at 161 Hudson (at Laight). I confirmed that’s what it looks like, but there’s no sign of for what—or whether it’s open to the public.
