••• An article about development on Canal Street to run in Sunday’s New York Times had two interesting nuggets. The first was about the Zinc Building, at Greenwich: “On the ground floor, one of the two retail spaces will soon be home to a high-end motorcycle club; members will pay dues to take Japanese and European bikes out for spins.” And then there was this: “Development may occur at the site of a closed gas station at West Street, as well as on a parcel owned by Trinity Real Estate at Varick with 111 feet of Canal Street frontage.”

••• The New York Times enjoyed the new show at the Manhattan Children’s Theatre: “As the plot unfolds in ‘Lula Bell in Search of Santa,’ written and directed by Chris Alonzo, the company’s managing director, St. Nick has been gone five years. So Lula Bell, a plucky 7-year-old, decides to find him. No theatergoer will doubt her ultimate success, but Mr. Alonzo provides amusing surprises in the where and how of Santa’s retrieval.” Also, MCT posted this on Facebook: “This weekend only, use code “AMNH” to get free passes to the Museum of Natural History with your order (while supplies last)! Theatremania.com or 212-352-3101 to order.”
••• “The bike and pedestrian path that runs alongside West Street past the front of the World Financial Center (between Liberty and Vesey Streets) will be closed, starting Monday, for many months. The closure will facilitate construction that will eventually link the Winter Garden to the East-West Connector—the tunnel beneath West Street that will bring pedestrians to and from the new World Trade Center complex and the transit hubs (PATH and the subways) within. During the interim, cyclists will be forced to detour around the west side of the World Financial Center, until they reach Albany street, at which point both the bike path and walkway will remain open.” (Broadsheet Daily)

I am curious to know if you have the name of the Motorcycle club going in the Zinc building.
Thanks
Sorry, the person who I thought might know says that she doesn’t know.
