In the News: Another Huge Restaurant Announced for Pier 17

••• The New York Times loves La Mercerie at Roman + Williams Guild: “For the past four months, [Marie-Aude] Rose has been cooking as if the fate of the planet depended on the tenderness of her cheese omelets, the judiciousness of her vinaigrettes, the airy spaces in her croissants and the crackle of the buckwheat in her savory crepes.”

••• “Malibu Farm, a renowned oceanfront wharf eatery on the Pacific Coast Highway west of Los Angeles, plans to open its first New York outpost on the new Seaport District’s Pier 17 next year, sources told The Post. The restaurant will have around 6,000 square feet on the first floor.”

••• The Broadsheet reviews the history of the plan to redesign of South End Avenue, to be revealed at tonight’s Community Board 1 meeting.

••• Crain’s interviews Michel Cohen of Tribeca Pediatrics, whose “business employs 50 doctors, who have 50,000 patients at 21 offices, including in Jersey City and Los Angeles. Tribeca Pediatrics remains independent from the city’s large health systems even as Cohen looks to expand beyond Manhattan and brownstone Brooklyn.”

  1. Of course, another restaurant where only the riches and elites can enjoy and afford.

    Progress! Change! Embrace the change.

  2. Love the one in Malibu.

And it’s reasonably priced for Organic foods. Not too many healthy options at that price point.

Plus the water will calm you down.
