Mexican Chain to Open Here
According to the Commercial Observer, the burgeoning Los Tacos No. 1 chain will open its third restaurant at 37 Warren (136 Church), where Drill Fitness briefly was: “The popular Mexican eatery took 1,350 square feet at grade and 550 feet in the basement.” The other two locations are in Chelsea Market and Times Square. The menu is below.

hands down some of the best tacos here in manhattan. very happy to hear they are getting into the neigbourhood
At the risk of overcrowding them when they open, I wholeheartedly agree with Simon. Los Tacos No.1 is dollar for dollar one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Absolutely fantastic. It’s not a sit-down place or a place to share a meal with a companion or a group. It’s stand-up-and-eat-and-be-on-your-way type of dining more like an indoor taco truck. I did try their second location in Time Square, and, while good, it was not quite at the level of execution as the Chelsea Mkt. original—let’s hope this one is. I was hoping their next location would be downtown, and here they come!
