The Australian fashion line Scanlan Theodore has chosen Tribeca for its third New York City boutique. (The other two are in the Flatiron and Soho.) It’ll be at 42 Hudson, the former site of Shoofly, and it should open in the next week or two. Here’s some info from the company:
Best known for its high-quality European fabrics and devotion to well-crafted, timeless designs, Scanlan Theodore chose the community-minded area because its understated luxury reflects the key values of the brand. The 1,500 sf boutique will feature Scanlan Theodore’s signature crepe knit collection, elegant eveningwear, fine Italian leather handbags, and structured footwear. Designed for the busy woman who embraces a contemporary aesthetic while valuing memorable quality, clientele visiting the Tribeca location will experience on-site brand stylists who curate a personal experience.
Fun! It will be nice to have a full time tenant in the old Shoofly space – which I have missed immensely.
