I couldn’t resist this pairing:
WEEKEND LUNCH AT FRENCHETTE
Frenchette is now open for weekend lunch service from 10a to 3p. –Eater
TACO BELL 2.0
Taco Bell is opening what they call their Cantina model at 60 Fulton St. The newer restaurant model features open kitchens (yipes!), alcoholic beverages, local art and free Wi-Fi and outlets for charging devices. –Crains
And real estate as a palate cleanser:
Two Washington Street, a 376,500-square-foot 1970’s era curtain wall office building which is a half block north of Battery Park, is being partially converted for 345 rental units. This is how the developer, Moinian Group, describes it:
Welcome to Battery Park, New York City’s waterfront park on the southern tip of Manhattan. Picturesque views of the Statue of Liberty and its close proximity to all public transportation make 2 Washington’s location unbeatable, while ten floors of amenities and carefully designed residences make 2 Washington the ultimate place to live, work and play. The building’s amenity collection features a rooftop pool and landscaped garden, simulated sports lounge, music studio, master-chef’s kitchen, poker lounge, co-working spaces and more. 2 Washington comprises of 345 rental residences designed by CetraRuddy, award-winning architecture and interior design firm driven by design excellence creating one-of-a-kind architectural experiences. Leasing is slated to launch in 2019.

Thank god Taco Bell is back downtown. Hopefully they come back to Chambers Street too.
