The Downtown Alliance has commissioned an interactive art installation of 25 seven-foot prisms along Water Street at the Seaport at three private plazas: 75 Wall, 77 Water and 32 Old Slip. “Prismatica” was first installed in Montreal. Looks like it is best seen at night but it’s a great day to stroll down there. In place until April 21. There will be an official opening with cookies and hot chocolate on Monday night, March 18, from 5 to 6 at 77 Water.
COLOR VUE OPEN ON WARREN
FELLOW BARBER AT THE SEAPORT
Color Vue Hair Lounge has opened at 23 Warren, just east of Church (more on that TK).
Fellow Barber opened its first shop in the East Village in 2006 and has now opened an outlet at 18 Fulton after expanding around Manhattan, Brooklyn and San Fran. This one has hours from 9a to 9p.
BALL FIELDS RESILIENCY MEETING
The next BPC Ball Fields Resiliency Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 21, 6 to 8p at 6 River Terrace. This is a joint meeting with CB1.
BEASTS OF NYC
The FDNY Boxing Team trained for its annual “Beast of the East” tournament by working out at Trinity Boxing Club at 116 Duane. The team is a non-profit that raises money for charity while punching its way through the Northeast. They sell out MSG for the matches. ABC7 has a video and a short story.
FREE “BEAUTY AND BALANCE” EVENTS AT WTC
Westfield World Trade Center is celebrating International Women’s Month with its third annual “Beauty and Balance” weekend featuring free, VIP-level beauty, nutrition and wellness activities from March 21-24. YogaCare will host a meditation, Gloveworx will have boxing and there will be free tastings at Kusmi Tea, fashion vignettes at Under Armour, offers at Montblanc and more.
HEALTHY GRAB-AND-GO IN FIDI
Daily Goods, a nutrition-oriented “grab-and-go” spot, just opened 116 John. Not much intel on the website; will have to go by to check it out.

Exposures, an exhibition of photographic works by 15 artists, will be on view until April 27 at Alexander and Bonin at 47 Walker.
