PAY TO PLAY SCHEME AT WTC
Shocking news from Crain’s: “Attorney General Letitia James’ office charged a former World Trade Center electric manager and two contractors for what the attorney general called a “pay-to-play” bribery scheme at the Port Authority site. FILM PERMIT WAR IN SOHO
This is old news, but relevant to those of us who live with film permit issues day after day: Gothamist reported that a large pink banner decrying film crews in NYC was hanging across the length of the Julia Testa Florist storefront at 111 Thompson Street in Soho last month, where it was hung as Sofia Coppola’s new movie, “On The Rocks” (starring Bill Murray, Rashida Jones, and Marlon Wayans) filmed nearby. The sign read: “Movie shoots kill small business. Come in, we’re open! Don’t let them bully you, you’re allowed to walk past.”
